COVID, Gender, & Academia: A Virtual Roundtable

In June, the African Studies Association and the Women’s Caucus presented a virtual roundtable on the gendered impacts of the pandemic on scholars and their scholarship. This discussion was based on the Women’s Caucus Executive Committee’s statement, policy recommendations, and resources published last year on our website. During the roundtable, we discussed the impetus behind the work as well as recommended policy changes that recognize the gendered impact of COVID and longstanding inequities in higher education.
